He was driving the Washingtonville district school bus the morning of Oct. 21 when a tree service truck crossed the double yellow line and hit the school bus head on.

Sanchez, a 6-year-old girl and the truck's driver, Ian Jennings, 25, had to be extricated and were taken to the hospital.

Seven other students were able to walk off the bus and were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
