Services Set For Wappinger 7YO Killed In Fire

Sean Christian Burlingame's family has a special request for members of the community who come to calling hours.

WAPPINGER, NY — The 7-year-old boy who was killed in a house fire is being remembered in the Hudson Valley as a child who liked to eat, play in the dirt and go fishing and loved superheroes. Sean Christian Burlingame of Wappinger died as result of a massive blaze early Friday morning. All other members of his household were able to escape.

Calling hours will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3 at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, in Hopewell Junction.

Because of Burligame's love of all superheroes — especially Spiderman, Iron Man and the Minions — his family asked that, instead of wearing a suit to the calling hours, people should come in their favorite superhero shirt.
