Services For Slain Wappinger Woman Announced
State police said Timothy Alexander stabbed Terrie Lee DeGelormo, his ex-wife, to death.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — Services for the woman allegedly stabbed to death by her husband Thursday have been announced. The family of Terrie Lee DeGelormo, 34, will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at the Libby Funeral Home, 55 Teller Ave. in Beacon.
A prayer service will be offered at 7 p.m. and a private cremation will follow.
DeGelormo was a graduate of Beacon High School in 2002 and received her bachelor's degree from SUNY New Paltz.

She worked at Dutchess Community College in accounts payable.
DeGelormo is survived by her son Ryan Alexei DeGelormo, her mother Emma Smith, her father George DeGelormo and brothers, sister, aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorial donations made to a special scholarship fund for her son.
Timothy Alexander, 32, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of DeGelormo, his ex-wife.
State police said Alexander stabbed DeGelormo at a home in the vicinity of All Angels Hill Road in the Town of Wappinger around 11 a.m. Thursday.
Police said Alexander fled the scene but was arrested following an investigation. He is being held in the Putnam County Jail.
Alexander is a sergeant in the corrections division of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
DeGelormo and Alexander married in 2008, but divorced in 2017.
