SI Swimsuit Issue Finalist Lives In Hudson Valley

MONROE, NY — A woman from Orange County has a chance to be featured in the next Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Florinda Estrada of Monroe went to an open casting call in Miami set up to find models for the 2020 edition of the magazine and is a finalist in the competition.

She was waiting on line during the casting call when she was spotted by current SI Swimsuit cover model Camille Kostek and given a "golden ticket" to skip the line, WPDH said.

Estrada told Sports Illustrated that Kostek must have see something in her and the gesture allowed her to go into the interview room and be herself.

The Monroe resident said the swimsuit search encouraged inclusivity and reminds people that "we're all beautiful and unique in our own ways."

Estrada, who is a Jet Blue flight attendant, said Sports Illustrated will choose six of the 16 finalists to be featured in the annual swimsuit issue, Hudson Valley Post said.
