Teens Accused Of Burglarizing Canaan Corner Deli

The alleged burglary happened in the Town of Canaan, according to New York State Police.

CANAAN, NY - Three teens have been charged in connection with the burglary of Canaan Corner Deli, according to New York State Police.

One of the suspects, 16-year-old Canaan resident Jehudi Rivera, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief, which are felonies. Another suspect, 16-year-old Canaan resident Clifton Woods, was given the same charges.

A third suspect, an unnamed 15-year-old "juvenile," was given the same charges.

State Police said that troopers arrived to the deli and found evidence of it having been burglarized, such as a broken window and front door. The three suspects were located after a search involving a police K9 dog, according to police.

"The three juveniles were arraigned in the Town of Canaan Court and returned to a local residential facility," police concluded.
