Thunderstorms, Hazardous Weather Possible In Mid-Hudson Valley

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The forecast of scattered thunderstorms in the mid-Hudson Valley has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a hazardous weather outlook for parts of the area. The outlook is for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties.
The outlook is in effect for Monday and Monday night.
Meteorologists forecast the possibility of isolated to scattered thunderstorms Monday afternoon and night.

The forecast for Monday is calling for sunny and hot conditions, with a high in the low 90s. For Monday night, isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible before 2 a.m., with a slight chance of showers between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Otherwise it will be partly cloudy with a low around 69.
There is also a chance of thunderstorms both Sunday and Monday, the weather service said.
