Traffic Stop Yields Cocaine Arrest Of MA Man: PD

EAST FISHKILL, NY — A Massachusetts man was accused of possessing one-third of a pound of cocaine while on the Taconic State Parkway.

The New York State Police said Jahart B. Moore, 43, of North Adams, Massachusetts, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies.

Around 2 p.m. Thursday, troopers stopped a 2014 BMW 335i for a traffic violation on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill.

The investigation found Moore had about 155.6 grams of cocaine.

He was arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
