Tuxedo Superintendent Resigns Over 'Inappropriate' Post
The Board of Education said the inappropriate post was on one of the district's social media accounts.

TUXEDO, NY — A Hudson Valley school superintendent who was accused of making an inappropriate post on one of the district's social media accounts has resigned.
The Tuxedo Union Free School District Board of Education announced Thursday it had finalized a separation agreement with, and accepted the resignation of, Superintendent Timothy Bohlke.
Nicole Scariano was named interim superintendent of schools and high school principal.

Three days ago, the board posted a message on the district's website saying it was aware of the allegations concerning Bohlke.
"The Superintendent of Schools forcefully denies making this inappropriate post," the board wrote. "We are taking the incident very seriously."

An attorney for the district and a human resources consultant were directed to work with an independent internet technology firm to fully investigate the matter.
The Board of Education said it will be launching a search for a new superintendent shortly.
