Weight-Loss Surgery Seminars Cover Risks, Rewards

Health Quest: Unsure of the risk and rewards of weight-loss surgery, or what the surgery entails? Health Quest Medical Practice general surgeon Dr. Brian Binetti will host weight-loss surgery seminars on the follow dates:

• 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 8; 5 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, or 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Northern Dutchess Hospital, 6511 Springbrook Ave., Rhinebeck.
• 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, at Health Quest Medical Practice, 334 Plaza Road, Kingston.
• 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 14, at Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County, 1910 South Road, Poughkeepsie.

These one-hour educational seminars are a low-pressure way for potential patients to meet Binetti, the hospital’s weight loss surgery medical director, and hear an overview of the procedures he performs. Family members and caregivers are also welcome.

Seminar attendance is a requirement for patients who wish to have the surgery. The seminar will help patients understand the comprehensive program as well as commitments required prior to surgery.
