Winter Storm Watch Issued For Mid-Hudson Valley

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The mid-Hudson Valley joins the rest of the region watching for the approaching snowstorm.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for Columbia, Ulster and Dutchess counties.

The watch is in effect from 7 a.m. Monday to 1 pm. Tuesday.

The weather service said heavy snow is possible, with total accumulations of 7 or more inches.

A winter storm watch was also issued for Orange County.

It is in effect from midnight Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Total snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches are possible.

Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
