The Academy Charter School Announces Giving Tuesday Now Campaign

Friends and supporters of the Academy Charter School can help the students and their families during this very difficult economic time by texting a donation to TeachKindnes To 41444.

According to Executive Director, Wayne Haughton, “73% of Academy Charter students are economically disadvantaged, your contribution to our Giving Tuesday Now campaign will allow us to engage each of our students in meaningful learning during this very challenging time.”

The campaign will enable The Academy Charter:

• To extend counseling services for our students who have lost a parent or loved one.
• Over 68% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch, your assistance will ensure that we can provide them with nutritious meals even when they are now in the school building.
• Some of our students do not have access to WiFi to accommodate learning at home. Your gift will provide access and learning.
• Not all students have access to devices to engage in virtual learning. Your generosity will impact a student’s learning during this challenging time.
