Best Coffee and Waffles on Long Island

The unique coffee and waffle shop started in 2015 and is inspired by the beachside of Costa Nova in Aveiro, Portugal. These waffles are one of a kind and only available in Mineola, that is unless you visit Aveiro. Costa Nova Waffle is a community-favorite and attracts a great number of customers from across Long Island. Some people even travel from New Jersey for these waffles, so that’s how you know that these waffles are worth every mile travelled and dollar spent!

First, you can choose a Bolacha (crispy flat) or a Tripa (soft flat) waffle. Then, add any toppings on the menu such as, Nutella, strawberries, bananas, peanut butter, chocolate, Speculoos Cookie Butter, Bonne Maman Jam, s’mores, Twix, Snickers, or Ovos Moles (the traditional Portuguese egg custard).

There is also a Flavor of the Month, a limited-edition flavor for every month that is not on the menu. Make sure you stop by before the month of October ends to try the Flavor of the Month-‘Raising a PumpKING,’ which has pumpkin butter, walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon. Don’t forget to grab a coffee with your waffle!
