MINEOLA, NY — A traffic stop Thursday night revealed a driver had been shot stemming from gunfire in Hempstead, according to a report. News 12 reported police stopped the car on Old Country Road and the driver had to be hospitalized.

When contacted by Patch, Nassau County police couldn't immediately confirm the report.
