Fred J. Kolp of Mineola passed away on July 15, 2013.
He was the Beloved husband of 66 years of Louise; father of the late Janet Kolb and Kathleen (Charles) Schoch. He will be missed by his grandchildren Martin (Elizabeth) Schoch, Charles (Nicole) Schoch, Katherine (Jason) Onze and Elizabeth Schoch; great grandfather of Kyle, Mikayla, Liam and Ryan.
A WWII Navy Veteran, Kolp retired from Grumman Corp. as a manufacturing engineer after 43 years.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, July 17 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Cassidy Funeral Home. A religious service will also be held on Wednesday evening with interment private.
