Long Island Businesses Attend Coffee Connections Workshop at PR, Marketing Agency

Mineola, NY – May 16, 2014 – Business owners, public relations professionals, marketers, and others turned out for HLD Communications’ Coffee Connections seminar on May 15, 2014 in Mineola, to gain insight into the latest best practices in Email Marketing. A panel of content and marketing professionals weighed in on the most effective tactics, covered the do’s and don’ts of this tactic, and offered insight into what it takes to create a successful email campaign.

Now more than ever, Email Marketing is an effective way to communicate your message and brand to your audiences. However, email distributions will only be successful if they are created, executed, and written in the proper way.”

While Mr. DiMarco focused on the appropriate look and layout of an email and the critical need for a mobile-friendly capability at the seminar, HLD Public Relations Vice President Liz Burke offered important tips on creating engaging and relevant content. From subject lines and content length, to key angles and scheduling, she delved into the most advantageous ways that specific industries and professions can take advantage of this useful direct marketing tool.

“A primary component to a successful Email Marketing program is distributing content that your target audience cares about,” said Ms. Burke. “Very often, an email subscriber makes the decision to read, delete, or unsubscribe, after only reading the subject line. If the topic isn’t relevant, you can lose that subscriber in a moment.”

HLD’s Director of Digital Services Hakan Sinar guided participants on the typical key days and times to launch emails, the latest tools and trends to assess and analyze an email program, and key performance indicators (i.e. open rate, delivery rate). “Automated email analytics and statistical analysis are crucial to an email program. Marketers need these reliable insights in order to assess their existing program properly and help improve upon future email efforts,” said Mr. Sinar.

The workshop was HLD’s third session in its Coffee Connections Seminar Series. It is designed to give business owners and marketers the practical information they need to take advantage of the latest tools and trends to get noticed, help grow their business, and stand out among their competitors.
