MINEOLA, NY — The Mineola Public Schools district has a new budget, and results were also announced in the Board of Education election. The proposed 2020-21 budget passed by a vote of 2,803 in favor to 953 against.

Margaret Ballantyne-Mannion and Patrick Talty ran unopposed in the school board election. They were re-elected with 2,711 and 2,732 votes, respectively. Ballantyne-Mannion is the board's current vice president and Talty is a trustee.
