Mother, Young Son Seriously Injured In Multi-Car Nassau Crash
Police said the 29-year-old woman and her 2-year-old son suffered traumatic injuries in a head-on collision.
MINEOLA, NY — A multi-car crash in Mineola Wednesday evening left a mother and her young son seriously injured.
According to police, a 29-year-old woman was driving her 2-year-old son in a 2019 Nissan Sentra east on Old Country Road at 6:06 p.m. when she was involved in a head-on collision with a 2019 Jeep Cherokee heading west. The Jeep was driven by a 28-year-old woman.
A Chevrolet Equinox being driven by a 41-year-old man with three passengers in the car — women ages 35, 6 and 3 — was hit as a result of the crash.

The 29-year-old woman and her son both suffered traumatic injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, police said. The other two drivers both suffered minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
