MINEOLA, NY — Whether it's heading into the city to watch the ball drop or sharing a drink with strangers and loved ones in town, many Mineola residents will be out and about Tuesday night to ring in the New Year.

Clear skies and somewhat decent temperatures are expected Tuesday night and early Wednesday for the New Year's holiday, which means fireworks fans and party people alike will be out and about.
