Richard Allen Dillon Jr., 47, Teacher
Chaminade High School graduate passed away on Nov. 7, 2013.

Richard Allen Dillon Jr. passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 of esophageal cancer at UT Southwestern Medical Center at the age of 47.
Dillon was a teacher at Dallas’ W.T. White High School, teaching economics and history for about the last 14 years and was chair of the social studies department.
He was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Massapequa, NY, graduating from Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree through the Collaborative Urban Leadership Project at the University of Texas in Austin.
In addition to his brother, Dillon is survived by his partner of 24 years, Steve Dalton of Dallas; his parents, Richard and Jean Dillon of Massapequa; and a sister, Eileen Bennett of Amityville, NY. Services were Monday, Nov. 11, 2013Â in Dallas.
