Second Long Island Shake Shack Location Opens in New Hyde Park

The newest Shake Shack location on Long Island officially opens its doors to the public on Thursday.

The fast-casual restaurant will be located at 1570 Union Turnpike in New Hyde Park.

Shake Shack is a popular burger chain that offers 100 percent all-natural Angus beef with no hormones or antibiotics included. Their frozen custard is made out of red sugar and milk from dairy farmers who refuse to use artificial growth hormones. Check out their full menu here.

Hours of operation of the New Hyde Park location are:

• Sunday — Thursday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Friday, Saturday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

From the New Hyde Park Shake Shack website: “Wash down your burgers and fries with area beers from Montauk Brewing Company, Sixpoint and Brooklyn Brewery. What’s extra delicious? We’re partnering with the local Cohen Children’s Medical Center.”

The store will donate five percent of sales from the Malt Whitman straight to Cohen Children’s Medical Center to help fund children’s medical care.

Long Island’s first Shake Shack opened in Westbury Plaza, located at 860 Old Country Road in Westbury, in November 2012. Now that a second location is opening, the burger chain is already thinking about a third Long Island location.

A Melville Shake Shack is expected to open in 2016, Newsday reports.
