Long Island Weather: Nor'easter Snow Total Estimates Revised
The National Weather has released updated snow total estimate maps for Long Island. Check them out.

It won't be as powerful as last week's storm, but an approaching nor'easter will turn Long Island into a wet and white mess on Wednesday.
A winter storm watch will be in effect all day Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday. Snow total estimates have fallen a bit from earlier forecasts (check out the maps below).

The National Weather Service says plan on hazardous travel conditions, including during Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
Gusty winds up to 40 mph also will have the potential to knock out power on the island just days after tens of thousands PSEG Long Island customers lost power thanks to damaging winds during last week's nor'easter.

"The big problem is that the storm this week is coming so soon after the destructive storm from last Friday," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski says. "It will disrupt cleanup and restoration operations and is likely to cause a new but less extreme round of travel delays, power outages and damage from falling trees."
