St. Aidan Students Help Children in Winthrop Hospital

Sen. Martins thanks school's National Junior Honor Society and Student Council for helping collect toys for his holiday toy drive.

St. Aidan School in Williston Park welcomed Sen. Jack M. Martins, R-Mineola, who visited recently to thank students for participating in his annual holiday toy drive.

The toy drive is an annual event that brings extra holiday cheer to children in need. All the toys collected by the St. Aidan students were donated to children in Winthrop University Hospital.

The school’s National Junior Honor Society and Student Council were instrumental in collecting toys for the drive.

“It’s wonderful to see children embrace the spirit of the holiday season and lend a helping hand to those in need,” Martins said.

“St. Aidan’s students did a great job collecting toys that will really help brighten the spirits of other kids who are in need of some extra cheer,” he added. “ They should be very proud of themselves.”
