Town Officials Join New York State For Turkey Giveaway

Over 400 free turkeys and over 90 packages containing dry goods were given to families in the community.

North Hempstead, NY – The Town of North Hempstead was proud to join Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Office, and New York State for a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway held at the “Yes We Can” Community Center in Westbury on November 24. The donations for the giveaway were made possible by: New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Viviana Russell, Town Clerk Wayne Wink, New York State Senator Anna Kaplan, Island Harvest, Sami Attalah, Ideal American’s Food Basket, and Vintage Auto Body.

Town officials including Council Member Viviana Russell and Town Clerk Wayne Wink helped hand out over 400 free turkeys and over 90 packages containing dry goods to families in the community.
