Urban Outfitters oftentimes borders the line between trendy and questionable. This time, the clothing outlet is selling "vintage" sweatpants from Chaminade High School, an all-boys school in Mineola, on its website.
The color-blocked sweatpants are now sold out, but many Long Islanders are still questioning why Urban would sell the pants provided by the private Catholic school in the first place.
Others found it humorous. Is Urban Outfitters trying too hard? Are sweatpants given to high school boys considered trendy now? Should Kellenberg alums start auctioning off their varsity jackets?

The site also had sweatpants with Oyster Bay and Stony Brook designs for sale. All these "Vintage Champion Reverse Weave Color-Block Jogger Pants" are sold out.
There were only two pairs each of the Chaiminade, Stony Brook and Oyster Bay sweatpants available. Here's the product description:
Two pairs of washed-soft and faded vintage Champion reverse weave sweatpants have been combined to create a one-of-a-kind colorblocked pair. Only one pair is available for purchase by a single customer.
Please note, this vintage item is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Urban Outfitters is known for selling odd or controversial items, but maybe these pants should be filed into the "trying too hard" category. What do you think? Sound off below.
