Back by Demand! Beyond the Twigs, Sticks and Berries, Doing it Again!

BEYOND TWIGS, STICKS and BERRIES is having another special night of fantastic culinary excellence at DOPO La Spaiggia in East Hampton this Thursday starting at 5:30 pm. This event is part of a successful series of special nights that introduces some vital diet education along with the creations of a local award-winning chef.

When Gwendolen Bokine was asked exactly what this event is all about she said, “Many people want to eat healthier, but aren’t sure exactly how to do so. Does this mean eating carrot and celery sticks? Where will I get my protein? How can I eat a meal without animal protein and still get all the nutrition I need?”

Her answers comes in the form of explanatory dinners like this Thursday night presented officially by, Gwendolen Bokine, “Gwennie on the Go,” in association with aster chef and owner, Maurizio Marfoglia of “DOPO La Spiaggia” in East Hampton.

The plan is to present a scrumptious five course plant-based meal that will leave you more than satisfied.

Starting with a chance to bring down your circadian rhythm, each dish to follow will open up your palate, anticipating the next.

Gwendolen explains, “Maurizio will demonstrate how he made the main dish, while I circulate around the table, answering questions guests may have about the dinner’s nutritional content and general thoughts about whole food plant-based eating. Socializing is a must, so feel free to come alone and meet new people including me! Also after Tuesday, it will be $65 so go on line and purchase by tommorow, Tuesday."
