A gathering of teammates and players from the Amagansett slow pitch league showed up at the softball field to bid Ken Weldon farewell.
"He died where he lived — in nature. We will miss him every day." Messages posted by Peter Beard's family speak of their great loss.
Services begin Thursday.
The many who loved him shared stories about Chief Craig Tuthill, who was a 63=year veteran of the Montauk Fire Department.
