Bill O’Reilly And Matt Lauer Do Breakfast Together In The Hamptons

MONTAUK, NY — For proof of how Montauk is now becoming the power center of the Hamptons, just look who got together for a breakfast chat and chew on Friday morning.

NBC’s Today Show host Matt Lauer and the Fox News ratings king Bill O’Reilly sat down together for a breakfast at Joni’s in Montauk, according to the New York Post.

They may be on rival networks, but Southamptonite Matt Lauer, who was able to enjoy a rare breakfast out on a weekday morning because he was on vacation from his morning talk show, came to O’Reilly’s Montauk neighborhood for a meal.

Joni’s, situated within walking distance of town and the beach, is a local hangout that serves breakfast all day long. With a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free healthy choices, the family-friendly spot has been popular since it opened more than 15 years ago.

CNN money is reporting that O’Reilly, who makes about $15 million a year with Fox News, has a contract that's up for renewal in 2017. Could the two newsmen been talking about O’Reilly making a move to network TV in the future? Their conversation was private, but the New York Post reported after breakfast the two were seen driving off in Matt’s BMW.
