Homeless Man Found Dead In Storage Container In Montauk: Cops

He'd been living in a storage container at Gosman's Dock, police say.

MONTAUK, NY — A homeless man was found dead in a storage container at Gosman's Dock, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, on Saturday at 9:45 a.m., the body of a man identified as Raymond Marisette, 69, of Montauk, was found in a storage container located in the Gosman's Dock parking lot. Further investigation revealed that he was undomiciled and was utilizing the container as a shelter, police said.

The death does not appear to be suspicious in nature and no foul play is suspected, police said.

East Hampton Town Police and the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the death. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to call East Hampton Town Police at 631-537-7575.
