Man Charged With Grand Larceny In Montauk: Cops
He stole items belonging to two different women, including a woman's EpiPens, at a popular downtown Montauk business, police say.

MONTAUK, NY — A Long Island City man was arrested after he stole from two women at a popular downtown Montauk business, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Mel McCormack, 39, was arrested on July 22 at 9:34 p.m. at 782 Main Street, the location of 668 The Gig Shack in Montauk, and charged with fourth degree grand larceny, value property greater than $1,000, a felony. He took a black Calvin Klein bag belonging to a woman containing a wallet with $189 cash, a flip videocamera, two EpiPens, headphones, sunglasses, makeup and assorted credit cards, with an approximate total value of $1,114, police said.
Also on the same date, time and location, he was arrested and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, after taking an Apple iPhone 7 belonging to a different woman from the top of the bar and then leaving in possession of the phone, police said.
