Man Drove While Impaired With Revoked License, No Interlock: Cops
Cash bail was set at $1,000, police say.

MONTAUK, NY — A man was caught driving while impaired with a revoked license and no interlock device in Montauk recently, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Philip C. Iordanou, 43, of Muttontown, NY, was arrested on April 9 at 10:35 p.m. on W. Lake Drive in Montauk; he was charged with driving without an interlock device, a misdemeanor, first degree aggravated unlicensed operation, commit aggravated unlicensed operation 2/alcohol or drug, a felony, and driving while ability impaired by the consumption of alcohol, a violation, police said. He was also charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, after he was found with two-and-a-half white pill bars stamped "Xanax" in his right pocket, police said.
Iordanou was driving a 2016 gray Audi north on W. Lake Drive near Old W. Lake Drive although his license had been revoked on January 24 and had not yet been restored, police said. While making a left turn, he failed to maintain his lane of travel by crossing over the pavement marking onto the shoulder of the road; he continued north on W. Lake Drive and continued to cross over the white pavement markings, police said.

Upon investigation, Iordanou was found to have the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, his speech was slurred and he performed poorly on all standard field sobriety tests administered, police said.
Cash bail was set at $1,000, police said.
