Montauk Resident Faces Felony Cocaine Possession Charge: Cops
Bail was set at $500, police say.

MONTAUK, NY — A Montauk resident was busted after being caught with cocaine and marijuana, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Elyes Berraies, 43, was arrested on July 13 at 3:38 a.m. on West Lake Drive in Montauk after being found to have cocaine weighing 500 milligrams or more, after being caught with four, small, clear ziplock bags containing a white powdery substance that field tested positive for the presence of cocaine. Berraies was also found with a rolled cigarette containing a green, leafy plant-like substance in their back left pants pocket that later field tested positive for marijuana, police said.
Berraies was arrested and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, 500 milligrams, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police said.
