Opinion: Foreign Ownership Of Our Off Shore Wind Power?

When it seemed like offshore wind power was on a non-stop path the East End company successfully paving the way sells itself to foreign ownership. My problem with this is simply looking at what has happened to Cablevision under foreign ownership. Even the Dolan family now knows promises made by foreign ownership in negotiations will be broken afterwards to enhance profits.

I believe it’s time to re-think the whole project not only because eventually they will be ugly power stations on the beaches and no doubt damage to the ocean floor somehow, but because I believe in the end, foreign ownership will not put Montauk and East Hampton Town interests above their profit motive to enhance the foreigner owners bottom lines. What do you think?
