Police ID Man Who Died After Being Found In Montauk Park
The 38-year-old's death is believed to be criminal in nature.

MONTAUK, NY — Police have identified the man who died after being found unconscious in a Montauk park, authorities said.
The man, found at Kirk Park in Montauk, was Robert Casado, 38.
According to Suffolk County Police, Casado was found at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday at Kirk Park, located on Montauk Highway, east of Second House Road.

Suffolk County Police homicide squad detectives are investigating the incident; East Hampton Town Police responded to Kirk Park at 7:30 a.m. after a person visiting the park reported finding the man unconscious, police said.

Casado suffered head injuries and was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Officials from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner will determined the man's cause of death, which detectives believe to be criminal in nature, police said.
