Successful Freedomfighteroutdoors.org Event in Montauk

After 2 days of fishing off Montauk Sal and Jennifer Zatkowski host a dinner at their East Lake Drive home for 25 Vets and friends.

Freedomfightersoutdoors.org sponsored 25 United States vets to two days of fishing in the waters off Montauk. Sal Zatkowski who hosted the after party on Thursday evening at his East Lake Drive home in Montauk said it was very successful. He proudly announced to the 75 attending the after party that Rich Torres caught the largest fish a 35.4 lb Striped Bass. He said, "25 vets flew and drove into Montauk on Tuesday to fish Wednesday and Thursday on 6 fishing vessels including a 62 footer."

Freedomfightersoutdoors.org is an Injured Veteran Charity founded to show gratitude to our nations injured service veterans and their families for their sacrifices and to raise awareness and seek public aid for needs, services and activities for injured service veterans and facilitate injured service veterans in assisting each other through teamwork based outdoor recreational activities. This is achieved by providing unique, once in a lifetime outdoor activities to honor and empower our nations injured service veterans. This is done to assist our nations injured veterans in their transition from the armed services to civilian life by showing our gratitude through organized outdoor activities.

What better place to achieve these goals then Montauk? With it's plentiful and abundant quality sport fishing right off shore and its reputation as a "World Class Fishing Village," all the vets were pleased and amazed at how beautiful Montauk is. They all had a thrill fishing off the famed and historic Montauk Lighthouse. Rough sea conditions limited this years fishing, however the vets were all thumbs up about their experience.

The party too was a success as was the whole three days due to the efforts of as Sal put it, "Too many to mention...really all good and special people." One was Sal's wife, Jennifer who personally made a lot of the appetizers and was supervising the buffet/ BBQ that included a whole roasted pig. This was the second year Sal and Jennifer have hosted the event at their beautiful home on East Lake Drive overlooking Montauk Harbor. With a beautiful Montauk sunset backdrop , Helen "Diva" McGuire provided musical entertainment via her Karaoke services which are second to none in the Hamptons.

All are invited to view www.freedomfighteroutdoors.org to see all information about past events, future events and most importantly perhaps donating either some time or money for this noble cause.
