Swimmer In Distress Reported At Napeague Sunday

Emergency responders rushed to the scene but all ended well, police say.

EAST END, NY — First responders rushed to the beach at Napeague Sunday after reports of a swimmer in distress, police said.

According to East Hampton Police Chief Michael Sarlo, a beach-goer called in the report about the swimmer. Ocean rescue responded to assist but the swimmer, who was parasailing, was fine and all ended well, he said.
