Well-Loved Musician Hit By Drunk Driver On Way Home From Gig

MONTAUK, NY — Friends are rallying for a "locally loved, world famous saxophone player" hit by a drunk driver on his way home from a gig.

A GoFundMe page, "Arnofest," was created for Arno Hecht. His car, the page said, was totaled and he sustained injuries to his body that have required hospitalization and recovery time.

"He is currently unable to gig and also does not have a car," the page said. "We want to try and raise him some money to help get him through this period and also heal. Thank you for taking time to read this and please know that all proceeds are going to a person who has played countless benefits for others."
