All In NYC Initiative Aims To Help Revitalize Tourism Industry
A series of initiatives are underway to help revitalize New York City's tourism industry following shutdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic

NEW YORK CITY – A series of initiatives are underway to help revitalize New York City's tourism industry following shutdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic, NYC & Company announced this week.
The goal of the initiatives is to help the more than 403,000 tourism and hospitality employees across the city return to work, the company said in the announcement.
The All In NYC: Roadmap for Tourism's Reimagining and Recovery outlines three stages that will help the tourism industry recovery from the economic fallout of the pandemic: rise, renew and recover. The three stages will included tourism-friendly programs that will target city residents first and then regional, domestic and international travelers, as restrictions allow.

The Stay Well NYC Pledge will help create Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning standards across the hospitality, tourism, arts, culture and entertainment sectors. Member businesses will be asked to visit the site to view information about the pledge and download a tool kit in order to participate.
As a part of the All In NYC initiative, New Yorkers will be encouraged to explore neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs and support local businesses. NYC & Company will create video profiles with a platform that allows residents to share their love for their neighborhoods. In addition, Art on the Grid, a multi-platform exhibition of new work by NYC-based emerging artists, will inspire residents to explore other boroughs.

Other parts of the initiative include supporting restaurants by featuring NYC chefs, promoting staycations, leveraging well-known New Yorkers to become influencers and expanding the campaigns reach geographically. All steps of the initiatives will progress as public health restrictions allow.
“The challenge of rebuilding tourism cannot be underestimated,” said NYC & Company President and CEO Fred Dixon in a prepared statement. “This roadmap and revitalization campaign are a significant first step to rally New Yorkers to safely explore their city once again and energize the business community as NYC comes back to life. Tourism recovery will be gradual but certain, and NYC & Company is All In on NYC.”
