NYC Weather: Second Storm Set To Soak City This Week

After a major storm dumped rain and left lingering winds Wednesday, another weather system promises to do the same later this week.

A second major storm is poised to soak the city Friday night with up to 2 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

The promised rain comes on the heels of a storm Tuesday that dumped an inch of rain on Central Park, blew winds up to 61 mph in Queens and left nearly 1,000 city dwellers without power Wednesday morning.
