April The Giraffe Baby Names: Zoo Reveals Top 10

You now have until April 30 to vote for your favorite name(s) among the Top 10.

HARPURSVILLE, NY — What do you think? Does the world's most famous baby giraffe, born over Easter weekend at the Animal Adventure Park petting zoo in upstate New York while 1.2 million YouTubers watched live, look more like a "Geoffrey" or an "Ollie"?

How about a "Patch"?

We're somewhat partial to that last one, for obvious reasons. And no, we swear we did not hack the Animal Adventure Park baby-naming website and vote for "Patch" a few thousand times. It's actually the last name of the guy who owns the zoo, Jordan Patch. (Although if the baby does end up with the name Patch, we're totally going to pretend it was our dogged, day-in-day-out coverage of April's epically long pregnancy that did it.)

Anyway! Here they are: The preliminary results of the naming drive for April's newborn. Just FYI, they're ordered alphabetically, not by vote count.

The giraffe crazies now have until Sunday, April 30 to vote for their favorite(s) out of the Top 10 names.

Vote here. Each vote costs $1, and you must vote at least five times to participate.

Proceeds will go toward improvements at the petting zoo, giraffe conservation efforts in the wild and Ava's Little Heroes, "an event named after the daughter of the park owners, who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy," according to Animal Adventure Park.

Meanwhile, by popular demand, the zoo has at least partially revived its record-breaking live stream: You can now watch April and [insert baby name here] doing precious mother-son stuff in their pen every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

Here's the latest installment, from Tuesday, April 25:
