NEW YORK CITY — Shake Shack milkshakes tainted with bleach sent three Manhattan cops to the hospital Monday night and launched an investigation as to whether the poisoning was intentional, officials said.

While the Detectives' Endowment Association accused Shake Shack workers at 200 Broadway of intentionally poisoning the officers, Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison says it was just a mistake.

A police source told the Daily News the machine had recently been cleaned and some remaining residue found its way into the shakes.

Manhattan South investigators launched into action after DEA President Paul DiGiacomo raised the alarm on Twitter and placed blame on an anti-police sentiment sweeping the nation.

"Emboldened by pandering elected officials, these cowards will go to great lengths to harm any member of law enforcement."

The union boss urged officers not to buy food from "unknown" restaurants, to inspect their cars before driving and to protect their partners.

"We MUST be more vigilant than ever," said DiGiacomo. "Protect yourself and your fellow cops at all costs — and the DEA will always protect you."

The three 42nd Precinct cops were hospitalized but not seriously harmed, according to the DEA.

Mayor Bill de Blasio chastised police union leadership for hurling what he described as unwarranted accusations at the fast food joint.

"I've been fighting with these unions from day one," de Blasio said. "These police union leaders stand in the way of progress."
