Bloody Mother's Day In NYC With 3 Homicides, Cops Say
Rapper Nick Blixky and two others killed in New York City Sunday, according to the NYPD.
NEW YORK CITY — It was a bloody Mother's Day in New York City, where a rap star, an East Harlem resident and an unidentified man were shot or stabbed to death, according to police.
Three people were killed in Brooklyn and Staten Island within a 15-hour timespan, even as the city remained under a new coronavirus stay-at-home order which is supposed to limit outdoor activity to essential tasks, said police.
The first to die was a 41-year-old man stabbed to death inside a Brooklyn home on Brighton Third Street near Brighton Beach Avenue about 7:45 a.m., police said.

That evening, Nickalus Thompson, 21, was shot dead about 9:25 p.m., on the corner of Winthrop Street and Rogers Avenue in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn, said police.
Thompson was an up-and-coming rap artist who performed under the name Nick Blixky.

Less than one hour later, Pond King, 20, was shot near East 126 Street and Lexington Avenue shortly after 10 p.m., police said.
Police reported no arrests as of Monday morning as the investigations continued.
