NEW YORK CITY — When it comes to novel coronavirus social distancing, New York City kindly requests you don't f--- around.
A Bronx deli's new social distancing sign went viral this week after the "nice" sign, which apparently wasn't working, was replaced with one more direct.
"It's my pleasure to serve you," the new sign reads. "But Ima need you to back the f--- up."

The store owners explain "the time to be politically correct has passed," a message echoed by the woman who photographed and tweeted the sign.
"STAY YO PUNK A-- IN THE HOUSE!!!" wrote Kay Electronica. "DONT TAKE ANY CHANCES!"
More than 90,000 people have since stopped by to like the tweet and share blunt messages of their own.

New York Times reporter Sandra E. Garcia shared the Tweet and suggested an 8 p.m. clap for the writers of the sign.
