Brooke Shields, Spike Lee And More Attend CMX CineBistro Opening

Celebrities came out last night for the grand opening of the new CineBistro multiplex in NYC. See all of the highlights below!

Last night, Nov. 07, 2018, an eclectic crowd celebrated the opening of the CMX CinéBistro — a VIP Cinema Experience! The new movie theater invited guests to a screening of three movies: "Pretty Baby," "City Lights" and "BlacKkKlansman," as well as an after party organized by the Cinema Society.

Brooke Shields, Kiera Chaplin, Spike Lee, Paul Sorvino and many more partied well into the night.

Daniela's Lens was there to capture the event! Take a look below:

7:00 p.m.

Tonight is Cinema Society! What else do I have to say? The Cinema Society event series is the most sought-after guest list in Manhattan. Even the biggest, most star-studded, lavish parties in the most beautiful spaces in NYC do not have what Cinema Society offers: Intimacy. Cinema Society is where the stars go to hang, relax, party, mingle, eat, drink and watch a movie with friends.
When you become famous, and there is no privacy for you anywhere anymore, Cinema Society is for you.

The weekly event series always starts with a movie screening of a recent film and ends with an after-party in changing secret locations. Celebrities pop in and out of the event all night. There is a red carpet, but nobody is forced to take photos. And of course, it's an open bar, and it's amazing food.

The fine-tuned masterfully curated guest list is the perfect mix of names from Hollywood to Broadway, the music, art and fashion industry, as well as interesting personalities with all kinds of backgrounds. Getting on the list is one of the last real challenges in Manhattan.

7:26 p.m.
British actress Kiera Chaplin, the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin is here to present her grandfather's movie City Lights.

7:36 p.m.
Brooke Shields and Katie Couric are in the best mood tonight!

7:38 p.m.
Brooke Shields and Nancy Jarecki can't stop hugging.

7:44 p.m.
Spike Lee is here to present his film "BlacKkKlansman."

7:49 p.m.
News anchor Rosanna Scotto.

8:02 p.m.
Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, daughter Albert II, Prince of Monaco.

8:21 p.m.
The red carpet is done, and I decide to roam around the venue. The new CMX CinéBistro is located on four floors, each of them come with a different party vibe: Jazz ambiance, champagne, and red carpet, dance scene and really crazy dance scene on the top floor.

8:32 p.m.
First stop: food. There are ice block sculptures loaded with gigantic monster shrimps, oysters and all kinds of seafood. One of the chefs brings in another massive bucket of shrimps and fills up the supply. The shrimps slide all over the ice and fall off the sculpture left and right. There is way too much food. I'm in heaven and seriously contemplating if I'll get a protein shock tonight.

8:45 p.m.
Paul Sorvino is here!

8:51 p.m.
Next stop: The dance floor and one of the open bars.
"Can I get a gin tonic?" I ask the bartender.
"What gin do you want?" and my usual answer to this would be 'the cheapest' but not tonight:
"What do you recommend?"
"I'm going to mix you the best we have!" he says, and I'm alright with that.

Oliver James and Kiera Chaplin

8:56 p.m.
The party really starts to take off now. I planned to take a few photos and then head home, but this crowd is way too much fun!

Now the party goes from fun to the best party this month. Maybe this season. Everybody is dancing and drinking and making new friends. A lot more names arrive. Somebody has to get carried out seriously drunk. I pack up my camera and hit the dance floor. It's a night to remember!
If you ever wondered where celebs meet their dates, it's here and it's tonight.
