Brooklyn Man Is Most Wanted Fugitive In America, FBI Says

Robert William Fisher, accused of killing his family and blowing up his house, has been on the lam since 2001, according to the FBI.

NEW YORK CITY — The most wanted person in America is a Brooklyn man accused of killing his wife and children then blowing up his house, according to the FBI.

Robert William Fisher, 58, tops the FBI's list of 10 Most Wanted Fugitives with a $100,000 reward to anyone who helps tracks him down.

Fisher allegedly shot his wife Mary in the head, slit the throats of their two children, Brittney and Bobby, then set fire to their Scottsdale, Arizona, home in April of 2001, according to reports and the FBI.

Investigators believe he killed them rather than allow Mary to pursue a divorce.

Mary's car, the family dog and Robert's hat were found 10 days later in a small town about 80 miles away from Scottsdale, according to news site azCentral.

Fisher was soon charged with three counts of murder, arson, and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, the FBI said.

Born in Brooklyn, Fisher has worked as a surgical catheter technician, respiratory therapist, and firefighter, according to the FBI.

The FBI describes him as an avid hunter with a gold tooth who may carry a high-powered rifle and chews tobacco excessively.

He is considered armed and extremely dangerous, the FBI said.
