Christian Cowan NYFW Photos: Slick Woods, Karrueche Tran And More

Slick Woods, Karrueche Tran, Nikita Dragun and many more attend Christian Cowan Runway NYFW 2019.

The Christian Cowan Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear runway show revealed a fun and colorful new collection. Not to mention, I was especially excited about some of the names sitting front row, such as Slick Woods, Susanne Bartsch, Nikita Dragun, and Karrueche Tran.

Check out highlights from the Christian Cowan NYFW 2019 show below:

Let's go backstage!
Hey, there?! I'm not sure if she can see me?

These girls have the right spirit!
The models are all lined up and ready for the rehearsal walk. Before every show, the girls walk the runway and get final instructions.

12:41 p.m.
Yay! The test walk went well!

12:42 p.m.
Uh oh, this looks like a difficult dress to wear. But it's so gorgeous!

12:44 p.m.
"All the girls back to hair and makeup!" someone shouts.
I need hair and makeup, too, for sure.

12:48 p.m.
Fashion week is almost over, and I'm so tired I can't tell if it's day or night. On the first day of NYFW all the photographer girls, including me, are wearing a full face of makeup, curled hair, fresh nail polish and beautifully put together clothes that actually look kind of fashion week worthy.

On day nine, we all look like homeless people who crawled through a South American jungle for ten weeks without shower, food or sleep.

If there is makeup, it's left over from three days ago, the nail polish is chipped off, hair is in a bun, and we are wearing jogging pants and the t-shirt we got for free yesterday at another fashion show, men size. My skin is so dry I can feel every wrinkle.

12:52 p.m.
But I'm not allowed to complain because I'm standing next to two Italian photographers. And for these guys, fashion week is really only just beginning. They will travel to London, Milan, and Paris after New York and do the same thing three more times, with jet lag and camping out in cheap motel rooms! Those guys are the Navy Seals in combat while we are the ones working in the kitchen on the home base, part-time.

"How is it going?" one of them says.

"I'm great!" I lie and hold back a big ugly yawn.

"Only two more days for you New York guys, right?" he chuckles.

"Yeah, but we have award season coming up, you know," I say and try to sound tough.

"You go, girl," he says, and I feel even worse.

12:54 p.m.
Time to go front row, back to the young and beautiful!
Aquaria Giovanni Palandrani is on top of his game.

12:57 p.m.
Slick Woods is here!

1:03 p.m.
Slick is the model that almost gave birth last season on Rihanna's NYFW show. She walked the runway and immediately afterward went into labor.

1:05 p.m.
Geordon Nicol and Leigh Lezark

1:11 p.m.
I feel like something that grew inside an abandoned sewer. I hope I'm exaggerating, unfortunately, the other photographers look at me in a way that clearly tells me I'm not in my best shape today.

But I'm not here to get photographed. I can hide behind my camera, and nobody will ever know about the dark and dirty secret of fashion week: Only half of the people here look gorgeous, you guys!

The rest of us look their absolute worst ever! The 50% that work on the models and celebs, that take their picture and organize this entire thing are in a contest for the most unkempt appearance yet to be discovered by sunshine.

Heather Briganti, Connor Botterill, and Shi Anderson

1:12 p.m.
Back to the other 50%.
I love this front row! So colorful!

Karrueche Tran and EJ King
1:15 p.m.

1:16 p.m.
Max Schneider makes a face!

1:17 p.m.
Nikita Dragun kills it!

Jacob Bixenman and Aquaria Giovanni Palandrani

1:23 p.m.
Hi Barbara Streisand!

1:25 p.m.
The queen of nightlife her majesty Susanne Bartsch.

1:32 p.m.
And then the show starts and it's amazing. Neon is back.

1:34 p.m.
Thank you, Christian Cowan! Great show! See you next season.
