Christian Siriano Front Row Celebs: See Carmen Electra And More

From Cynthia Nixon to Sarah Hyland, Daniela's Lens gives you a look at the star-studded front row at the Christian Siriano show during NYFW!

The American fashion designer Christian Siriano showed his new collection yesterday at Gotham Hall. The Project-Runway alumni is known for his colorful evening gowns and his long list of celebrity clientele.
The star-studded event attracted Danielle Brooks, Carmen Electra, Judith Light, Whoopi Goldberg, Sarah Hyland, and Tiffany Haddish. And as a special guest Cynthia Nixon who is running for Governor of New York City on September 13th.

3:50 p.m.
L. and I are running down the street as fast as we can. She is another photographer, and we just shot Christina Aguilera at the Cowan show. Now, we are almost late for Siriano. Since fashion week does not have a central location anymore, the shows are all over the city, and everybody is running, running, running.
"I start training on the treadmill six weeks before fashion week." one of the guys told me the other day.
"I lose so much weight during fashion, it's insane," says L.
"When I order food during fashion week, I always ask for the meal with the highest density of calories. There is no time to eat ever, really." I say.

3:52 p.m.
"They have good food backstage at Siriano," says L, "but we are too late anyway."

3:55 p.m.
Gotham Hall. The crowd outside is insane. Inside are at least 30 photographers waiting for the show and the celebrities.

3:58 p.m.
"It's like a fishbowl, and we are all waiting for the fish!" says one of the photographers to me.
No fish here yet.

4:02 p.m.
Danielle Brooks, Carmen Electra, Judith Light, and Cynthia Nixon show up.
The security is tight, and the photographer gang is a mess.

4:05 p.m.
Christian Siriano put flyers on every chair:
"Democrat for governor - Cynthia for NY" it reads.

4:10 p.m.
Everybody shoots, shoots, shoots. Then they clear the front row.

4:16 p.m.
I'm with most of the photographers on the riser now. Then Tiffany Haddish shows up. I start running. She is right in front of me. I have the perfect spot. Let's do this!

4:22 p.m.
The show begins. The fashion is mind-blowingly beautiful, and the location adds to it.

4:28 p.m.
But I'm not satisfied just yet. I did not get solo shots of the main celebrities.

4:41 p.m.
The moment the show finishes, I'm ready. I jump up and run to the other side of the room. "Tiffany, can I get a quick photo?"

4:42 p.m.
"Cynthia, a quick photo, please? Good luck for Thursday!"

4:43 p.m.
"Hi, Judith! And thank you so much!"

4:44 p.m.
Minutes later Cynthia is surrounded by camera crews.

4:49 p.m.
On the way out I see Bethany C. Meyers and Nico Tortorella.

5:00 p.m.
"Hey L.! Let's get food!" I say to the other photographer.
"Shake Shack it is!" she says.
I order a double cheeseburger and cheese fries. No regrets!
