Christie Brinkley At NYFW: See Pics Of Star-Filled Cushnie Show

Cushnie showed their highly anticipated new collection today during New York Fashion Week and the front row was packed with celebrities. From the exciting new fashion to some familiar faces, Daniela's Lens was there to capture it all.

3:18 p.m.
Whoopie Goldberg is here!
There is immediately a lot of hugging going on.
Everybody loves Whoopie! How can you not love Whoopie?! That would be like not loving the sun!
"This is my new fashion line," She says and shows us her shirt and it reads 'I am the American dream."It's coming out soon!"

3:22 p.m.
I follow Whoopie to the front row. The center of the runway is covered with a reflecting plastic that looks like a mirror.
"Do not step on the runway!!" says the PR to us. "You can not walk over the other side; you have to go around."
"Ok."
And this almost immediately becomes a problem. There is not enough space for all the fighting photographers. We all start ballet dancing around each other.

Caroline Vreeland and Cara Santana. I used to see Caroline all the time out and about in New York City. Where have you been? We missed you!

I try to get a full-length shot of the ladies, but without stepping on the runway, there is just no way to do this. I lean back as far as possible.

3:40 p.m.
"You need to leave the front row NOW!" says the PR to us. I march all the way around and to the other side and sit down on the floor between the rows. Once I have found an almost comfortable position, I take off the flash and switch all my camera settings to available light. No flash allowed during the show.

3:43 p.m.

When I look up, two new guests have arrived: Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook. "Oh no! Oh yes!" I jump up, snatch my flash and start running around the entire runway again while configuring my camera back to flash and tiptoeing around the mirror floor.
"You can't go back to the front row!!" the PR shouts at me. I decide to ignore them. Behind me is the rest of the photographer pack. They are also running.
"Hi, Christie!!!!" Snap, snap! Photos done.
"Leave the front row!!!!!"
Ok, ok.

3:44 p.m.
The show starts. I'm all focused on Christie Brinkley. She looks stunning. She always looks stunning. But that's not the point. She has it. She radiates everything around her into unimportance. The star aura?! It's a thing.
Bill Clinton has it; Tom Cruise has it. It makes one want to follow them to the end of the world and back. If Christie Brinkley ever decides to start a cult, I'm going to be a mindless follower right there and then. And only Whoopie Goldberg will be able to rescue me with a hug!

3:51 p.m.

3:55 p.m.
The end of the show.

3:57 p.m.
The show is over, and I'm making my way back to Christie.
"Hi! Can I get a shot of all the three of you?" I say, and here we go.

3:58 p.m.
On my way out I see Christie getting interviewed by a German TV station.
