Check out what other dogs New Yorkers think are really good boys and girls, according to a new study by Rover.
NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers are cuckoo for Cockapoos.
The scruffy, fluffy Poodle and Cocker Spaniel hybrids are the top trending dog breed in the New York City, according to a study by Rover.
They had some ruff competition from the Havenese, which — shaggy dog story short — chased down the number 2 spot.

But in the end, New York City declared the Cockapoo 15/10 good boy.
"With an affection for their family and innate friendliness, it’s no surprise how popular they are," the study states.

Rover, a dog-centric website and app, didn't just stop in New York City. They used data from across the country to form their "America’s Most Popular Dog Breeds 2021" study.
Mixed breeds took the number 1 spot nationwide, the study found.
But "doodles" — Poodle mixes like the Cockapoo — proved popular pooches as well.
New York City's favorite breeds, according to the study, are:
- Cockapoo
- Havanese
- French Bulldog
- Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
- American Pit Bull Terrier
