Cuomo To Meet Trump At White House Amid NY Coronavirus Outbreak

NEW YORK CITY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo and President Donald Trump will meet at the White House Tuesday after days of spatting on Twitter and live television over the federal response to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
"Andrew is going to be coming in with some of his people," Trump said at his White House briefing Monday. "Believe it or not, have — we get along. Okay?"

The Oval Office meeting — slated for 3 p.m., according to Cuomo's official schedule — comes days after hostilities boiled over between the two men.
Trump began tweeting jeering remarks during Cuomo's televised press conference, and when notified by a reporter, Cuomo issued a 10-minute tirade in response.

"Stop talking!" Trump tweeted.
Retorted Cuomo, "If he's sitting home watching TV, maybe he should get up and go to work."
It also comes as the pandemic shows signs of slowing and New York lawmakers grapple with how and when to ease back social distancing policies.
Both Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio have they need mass testing and federal aid to relaunch the economy and keep New York afloat.
