Girl, 10, Fatally Struck By School Bus In East New York, Cops Say
A 10-year-old girl died after she was hit by a school bus on Wortman Avenue and Crescent Street Tuesday morning, police said.
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — A 10-year-old girl died after she was hit by a school bus in East New York Tuesday morning, police said.
The yellow school bus was turning right onto Wortman Avenue from Crescent Street about 6:45 p.m. when the 61-year-old driver hit the little girl in the crosswalk, police said.
Medics rushed the injured child to Brookdale Hospital, but doctors were unable to save her life, said police.
